Worksite Hazard Assessment and Control

Record and Documentation of New Hazard and Methods to Eliminate New Hazard(s)

Record keeping and documentation of a newly identified hazard is important to ensure that the hazard is discussed and evaluated appropriately. By properly recording and documenting Formal and Site-Specific Hazard Assessments, the potential for reoccurrence is lowered. Furthermore, this enables Workers and personnel to be better prepared for what to look for in similar future Work Sites.

Identifying and Reporting New Hazards

Identifying and reporting new hazards are an important part of maintaining a strong Health and Safety Program.

Identifying and Reporting Systems

Company culture plays a large role in inviting Workers to actively participate in the continuing process of identify and reporting new hazards found on the Work Site. Workers must always be aware that they have fundamental rights that must be met on the Work Site. Minor hazards can become major issues if they are not properly identified, prioritized, and eliminated or controlled. Overlooking a minor hazard can be detrimental to the health and safety of all Workers.

It is a priority to identify and report unsafe work and unhealthy conditions and practices as soon as possible to a management position. These findings will be taken seriously and corrective action will occur.
