Preventative Maintenance

Policy

All tools, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and equipment shall be properly maintained so as to reduce risk of injuries to Employees or damage to property.

Qualified personnel shall ensure that all preventative maintenance is carried out and that records are maintained according to established schedules.

All Employees shall regularly check their tools and equipment and shall take out of service or lock-out / tag-out any deficient tools or equipment.

The health and safety information in this directive does not take precedence over Applicable Legislation.

Preventative Maintenance Program

All construction activity involves people working with tools and equipment. In addition to ensuring that Workers use the tools and equipment properly, it is vital that tools and equipment be inspected, maintained, and kept in good repair. An effective maintenance program will reduce the risks of injuries, damage, and lost production.
