Assignment of Responsibilities – Senior Manager

Senior Manager: senior leadership position that oversees the strategy and operations of Qualico and the management of its Business Units.

Qualico Leadershipreferring to the Senior Management team as a collective body, separate and above the generalized term of “Employee”.

  • Provide an annual signed Qualico Health and Safety Policy, as mandated by Applicable Legislation.  This policy provides a commitment and philosophy that sets levels of expectations for safety performance throughout Qualico. It is expected that the Qualico Health and Safety Policy would be signed by Qualico’s President.
  • Accountable to ensure compliance with the spirit, intent, and provisions of Qualico’s Health and Safety Program across all business units and brands. Throughout each region, Senior Managers are accountable for the consistent and satisfactory application of Qualico’s Health and Safety Program.
  • Accountable to ensure that health and safety information, instruction, and assistance are provided to all Employees. This information is to include all Applicable Legislation and the policies and procedures as set out in this Manual.
  • Accountable to ensure that resources are provided for all Employees to acquire health and safety training as per Applicable Legislation.
  • Accountable to ensure that Qualico Employees understand and have training about the Applicable Legislation and information in this Manual.
  • Champion the Health and Safety Program by developing and promoting a health and safety-aware culture.
  • Accountable to ensure Qualico’s Health and Safety Program is up-to-date and compliant with Applicable Legislation in all regions.
  • Review and assess the Health and Safety Program and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with and among Senior Management, Management, Supervisors/Superintendents, Health and Safety Representatives, and Workers.
  • To be knowledgeable about and to actively apply health and safety training in all Job Duties.
  • Participate in health and safety inspections of as per Inspection Policy.
  • Set a good example by using the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing Work Site visits and promoting safety in a positive manner at all times.
